Outpatient services are offered for children beginning as early as the age of three years old. These services are available to children (along with their families) who may be experiencing a variety of life, emotional and mental health issues from adjustment to life stresses to serious mental illness. Children can be seen for a wide variety of behavioral problems such as Attention problems in school (ADHD, ADD), depression, anxiety, School anxiety and school refusal, Child Abuse, Divorce, Children of Alcoholics, Teen Substance Abuse, Anger Control Problems, phobias, grief, Peer Problems, Sibling Relational Problems, Parent and Child Conflict, Opposition to Authority, Self Esteem and Body Image Problems.
Chestnut Ridge has three Psychiatrists who assess and evaluate children up to the age of 18. Our Psychiatrists along with our staff of trained therapists will work with children and their families to improve the functioning of areas of concern. Chestnut Ridge has over 30 therapists
including licensed clinical social workers and licensed professional counselors
who provide treatment in the Outpatient Clinics. Our therapists range in degree level, are across various ages, we have both male and female therapists, and have many therapists with specialty training areas. We also offer a wide variety of hours of appointment times to meet your individual needs including may after school hours appointments.

Both Uniontown and Connellsville offices are currently offering groups for children and this group list changes to meet the current needs of our consumers. In Connellsville current children’s groups are Self Esteem and ADHD. In Uniontown current kids groups are Teen Anger Management, and Social Skills.
