The Child and Family Urgent Response Team is a 24 hour response service that is available to children and families as a follow up to Crisis Intervention upon hospital discharge or upon referral. This team works with the family to “stabilize” the current crisis event and assists the family to identify what existing family supports, community resources and agency services can help avoid future crisis situations. The teams assist the family in acquiring needed services and steps out once the other services have been initiated. The team consists of a Master’s level clinician, a Bachelor’s level Mental Health Worker/Case Manager, and a Parent Mentor. The Parent Mentor is an individual who has had experience navigating the Mental Health System.
