Mental
Health Services including: evaluation, therapy
and medication management are offered to
persons while incarcerated in the Fayette
County Prison. Utilizing a team approach
CRCSI works with the various county providers
such as Fayette Co. Mental Health/Mental
Retardation, Drug and Alcohol, the Fayette
Co. court system, as well other human and
social services organizations. Our goal
provides inmates with the treatment and
aftercare service necessary to help reintegrate
them back into the community or prepare
that person for the next step in the judicial
process.

release.
Outcome
Example:
A person was arrested and sent to the Fayette
County prison. This individual was found
to have a history of mental illness and/or
treatment. The person was evaluated and
offered mental health treatment and was
a sentenced for a short time at the prison
followed by a release back into the community
under supervision of paroling / probation.
CRCSI assisted that person in getting connected
with the appropriate agencies such as housing,
work programs, and transportation. In a
collaborative effort between CRCSI, probation
and parole, we offered the treatment that
was mandated as part of the sentence and
helped that person transition back into
the community. We assisted this individual
in learning the skills necessary to avoid
re-offending and getting sent back to prison.
