Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services is currently providing services to the deaf and hard of hearing community. Services are provided by a Deaf Therapist, therapists whom are fluent in sign Language as well as services with an interpreter.
Services provided for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is primarily Outpatient Therapy for individuals, groups, couples and families. Outpatient services are provided for all ages of people with a variety of life, emotional, and mental health issues from adjustment to life stresses to serious mental illness and may include things such as depression, anxiety, obsessions, phobias, anger, grief, parenting, social skills, marital discord, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, anger, etc.
Other services using an interpreter or staff members who is fluent in sign language:
- Assessments and Evaluation
- Psychiatric Evaluations
- Substance Abuse therapy sessions (Individual/ group)
- Eating Disorders
- Psycho educational and skill building groups
- 24 hour crisis hotline
Our office is Deaf friendly. Staff are trained to use TTY, relay services and how to use an interpreter. The 24 hour crisis hotline is accessible by contacting the TTY phone below.
